At Microsoft’s Operations Service Center we have a passion for customers, partners and technology. As a member of the Cloud Services Operations team, you will coordinate and manage scale cloud processes across multiple Go-To-Market motions. The team sits within Microsoft Business Operations (MBO) and is responsible for successful and compliant processing of transactions that enable and support Microsoft Azure customers. You will be joining a fast-paced team that focuses on results, works together to solve problems, and is committed to developing people.

The Cloud Operations Program Manager role interfaces with Engineering, Launch, Sales, Finance, and various Support organizations to operationalize cloud products, workloads, and programs across both modern and legacy sales motions. Responsibilities include process incubation, transaction management, and escalation support. Additionally, the role is accountable for driving operational excellence of Cloud Transactions such as Conditional Based Credit Offer (ACO), Tiered Azure Consumption Discounts (ACD), and other Custom Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) motions.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience in managing cloud transactions including working with Azure usage data.
  • Advanced Degree or MBA
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information
  • Demonstrated excellence in thought leadership, innovation, and execution management; ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to Challenge Status-quo (Growth-Mindset)
  • Able to work in a pressured environment to tight deadlines when required
  • Deep analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels
  • Broad working knowledge of Microsoft including business groups, segment and support functions including multiple channels and business groups.

  • Experience in leveraging and optimizing queries for Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL and KQL

Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Execute specific operational functions for Cloud Operations, including specific Azure offerings such as, Time and Conditional based Credit Offer (ACO), Tiered Azure Consumption Discount (ACD), and other custom Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) motions, and Service Support credits.
  • Support critical pre- & post-sales cloud issues and escalations to resolution across stakeholders
  • Build and scale processes and capabilities to enable the inevitable growth in volume of Cloud Customers
  • Document and share learnings relating to cloud operations encompassing systems, tools, stakeholders, and processes
  • Understand the controls that drive compliance and provide direction to enable new commerce motions
  • Drive continuous process improvements via analysis and identification of opportunities focused on driving global impact
  • Leverage reporting and analytics to manage end-to-end transactional functions
