Overview

The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team enables Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Team to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. How? We design, build, and manage the levers that accelerate commercial growth—including compensation, business performance and insights, planning, skilling, and tooling and engineering.

The MCAPS E&O Revenue Operations team plays an important role in empowering every person in MCAPS to serve customers by activating and innovating Microsoft’s commercial engine. We are passionate about this mission, and we are looking for a Director, Commercial Transformation Sales Strategy to be part of our Commercial Transformation Business Architecture (BA) team. This team is charged with strategic multi-year transformation of our commercial sales model and processes to accelerate growth, improve efficiency and leverage AI to help us serve customers better.

As the Director, Commercial Transformation Sales Strategy you will be structured, analytical, entrepreneurial, curious, & excited to apply your passion to defining the right field model to accelerate our ability to deliver. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

Cross Functional Joint Planning and Analysis

  • Leads, manages, and adjusts plans and plays to achieve desired Commercial Transformation outcomes in partnership with field and corporate leaders. Collaborates to identify focus areas and cases for change.
  • Demonstrates influence through partners across multiple divisions. Influences for impact by motivating others to buy into vision and execution.
  • Drives alignment and influence towards common goal and tests status quo to drive Commercial Transformation.
  • Creates frameworks and methodologies to drive problem solving and insights.

Commercial Transformation Project Leadership

  • Develops, drives, and executes multiple Commercial Transformation projects/programs and teams across organizational boundaries as a project lead through defining plans, goals, deliverables, feedback, resource balancing, and timing expectations; proactively identifies complex roadblocks and addresses them.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and proposes new transformation project work/deals based on unmet needs.
