Overview

Here is an excellent opportunity to work in Bing Ads core team, which selects the best ads for all Bing enabled traffic, millions per hour, and earn majority of Bing revenue.

We’re looking for an Applied Scientist II-Bing Ads in either Mountain View, CA or Redmond, WA to help us build next generation Counterfactual Platform to process huge log and predict key performance metrics of Bing Ads and tune it.

This position provides exposure to cutting edge algorithms and core components of the biggest counterfactual estimation platform for optimizing Sponsored Search Marketplace.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of statistical data analysis and processing.
  • 1+ year of modeling/Machine Learning/Large Language Model experience.
  • 1+ year of industrial scale problem solving experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering,
    • OR related field AND 5+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering,
    • OR related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical
  • Knowledge in close loop controlling system.
  • Proven experience in technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.

Applied Sciences IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
