Overview
Microsoft Tax & Customs Department is responsible for Worldwide Tax & Customs Reporting, Compliance, and Planning, including the technology and process & innovation functions to support the coordination of the worldwide tax and customs functions. There are four major functions within the Tax and Customs Department: 1) Tax Reporting and Transfer Pricing 2) Customs, Tax Process & Innovation, 3) Corporate Tax Planning & Controversies, Indirect Tax & Global Business Initiatives 4) Tax & Customs Controllership, Policy and Benefits Taxation.
We are looking for experienced Transfer Pricing professional to join us, as we are expanding our Microsoft’s Global Transfer Pricing team in India. The team is responsible for ensuring Microsoft is compliant with the ever-changing regulations that govern transfer pricing. The role will be based in Mumbai.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or related field AND 6+ years experience in transfer pricing, tax compliance, and/or tax advisory.
- OR Advanced Degree (e.g. Master's in Tax, Accounting, Finance or related field; J.D., LL.M. in Taxation) AND 5+years experience in transfer pricing, tax compliance, and/or tax advisory.
- OR equivalent experience
- Sound knowledge of international transfer pricing laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Transfer pricing experience with a mix of both big four and in-house experience.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and maintain a growth mindset in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to partner and work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency with complex business systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Mercury, Excel, and Alteryx.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Microsoft’s global transfer pricing documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Support the CbCr notification process and other transfer pricing compliance requirements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and segmentation of P&L statements to develop data required for transfer pricing studies.
- Support in coordinating with stakeholders, such as tax, finance, legal, and controllership, to ensure alignment and compliance with transfer pricing documentation regulations and deadlines.
- Research and monitor transfer pricing developments globally.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of transfer pricing documentation and reporting.
