Aligned with Microsoft’s mission and the priorities of the Microsoft Security organization, this role sits within a specialized team responsible for containing and evicting cyber threats across all of Microsoft’s services and divisions. As a Senior Security Technical Program Manager, you will drive high-impact, high-visibility security initiatives to strengthen and evolve our containment and eviction platform. Success in this role requires exceptional program management skills, the ability to excel under pressure, and a talent for bringing clarity to complex, ambiguous situations. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, security, and executive teams—empowering Microsoft to protect billions of users worldwide

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or related roles within a technology organization
- Experience delivering security or platform products/services at scale, ideally within a cloud, SaaS, or enterprise environment (Azure/M365 preferred)
- Demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration and influencing without authority; able to drive alignment across engineering, operations, security, and executive stakeholders
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Institute PM, or equivalent certification
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional/Preferred Qualifcations:
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management and product management within the cybersecurity, cloud security, platform engineering, or security operations fields
- Ability to operate with autonomy, bias for action, and an ability to influence others
- Ability to work under pressure, structure unstructured problems and provide clarity where ambiguity exists
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Assist with defining business goals and semester planning
- Shape product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and organizational priorities.
- Define and prioritize requirements for containment platform features and use cases through collaboration with Containment, Engineering, and stakeholder teams.
- Drive operationalization and adoption of new containment capabilities and enhancements.
- Identify and drive process improvements using systems thinking to reduce time-to-mitigate, automate workflows, and eliminate toil.
- Develop and manage roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies; communicate progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders at all levels.
- Remove blockers and escalate issues to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Maintain a catalog of containment and eviction capabilities; keep documentation current and actionable for the team.
- Champion platform capabilities with partner teams, driving awareness and adoption across the organization.
- Generates lean business cases to garner support for broader Microsoft product initiatives or features that enhance containment and eviction capabilities (drive change)
- Maintain rhythm of business across partner teams
- Facilitate executive briefings and demos to showcase delivered business value and future vision.
- Instrument containment processes and platform capabilities to measure efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact.
- Define and report on key metrics (e.g., time to mitigate, automation coverage, platform adoption).
- Ensure process alignment with audit, compliance, and security requirements; maintain readiness for audits and external reviews.
