Microsoft's Americas Field Sales & Operations organization is looking to hire a Director, Go to Market Management, Datacenter.

As we are quickly expanding our local Region Datacenters (DC) footprint globally, in this role you will drive strategic business development to accelerate Cloud growth across the Americas. You will need to be able to apply your valued contributions across a challenging mix of business development, customer orientation, tech savvy and leadership. You will work in close cooperation with the Americas leadership team, Field Sales and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Datacenter Expansion and Operations and Engineering teams to ensure services and features of the local Datacenter are aligned with customers mid-long term onboarding and services adoption.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in cloud network topologies/design and related hyperscale datacenter network architecture/infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of operational experience in managing critical environments within enterprise/hyperscale datacenters.
  • 5+ years of experience with any combination of the following: drive marketing and partner programs; product marketing; business planning; product management; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; competitive market analysis and positioning; organize and drive product roadmaps; develop insights from market research; sales enablement and field support; build and execute marketing plans and strategies; or related.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
  • Effective executive communication, storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple stories.
  • Proficient Business Analysis Skills (understands financials, sales processes, scorecards and key performance indicators)
  • Track record of cross-group collaboration skills and ability to manage stakeholders across large matrix organizations.
  • Track record of executive influencing and stakeholder management skills

Field Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Build a multi year growth plan to develop Microsoft Cloud footprint in the United States with the team, articulating a clear strategy.
  • Elevate local technical ecosystem engagement.
  • Create alliances across internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Build the Business cases for Datacenter expansions and orchestrate successful deployment
  • Secure Corp support for worldwide programs for additional service capacity, with special focus on partnering with Azure Engineering.
  • Assess with all stakeholders required Azure services needed and elevate all options to accelerate deployment to respond to critical needs and provide business continuity for mission critical applications.
  • In partnership with Corp marketing, define Public Relations strategy related to Datacenters, including new/expansion announcements.
  • Closely monitor execution of the plan and support Americas headquarters & Americas Leadership teams in any relevant strategic decisions / coaching / corrective actions.
