Overview

Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell intelligent edge and intelligent cloud devices and solutions with partners, including original equipment manufactuerer (OEMs)/personal computer (PC), device distribution channels, original design manufacturers, and Silicon providers. We work closely with our device ecosystem and internal business groups to build devices that consume our cloud, innovate with device partners, and transform how we sell devices and services with partners. Opportunities in DPS are expansive because we span the entire product lifecycle - from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the design-in, sell-in, and sell-through motions that help our partners engage consumers, students, and businesses worldwide. The DPS Marketer's mission is to create demand and maximize revenue for Microsoft products through Device Partners, focusing on Windows 11, Copilot+ PCs, Windows Server, Office/Microsoft 365, and other priority lines of business. The Director, Parnter Marketing leads the marketing partnership strategy and engagement with DPS Partners, driving return on investment (ROI) and transformational campaigns to support product and sales goals. This role activates Windows Client and achieves revenue through modern marketing tactics in collaboration with partners, contributing to digital transformation and delivering a modern workplace experience for customers. Knowledgeable marketing leadership is needed to drive holistic One Microsoft plans, promote hero products, explore new growth opportunities, and represent the voices of partners, customers, and colleagues. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 7+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in Partner Marketing preferably with OEMs.
  • 5+ years experience building co-marketing campaigns with multiple corporations/partners.
  • 5+ years experience with any of the below:
    • Working with c-level or leadership teams within large corporations/highly matrixed organizations.
    • Working across all levels within a partner organization to build and execute joint Go-To-Market campaigns that deliver ROI.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Partner Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

Planning

  • Land marketing investments To & Thru Partner(s) as per fiscal Business Priorities
  • Articulate business goals for marketing activities
  • Coach + support partner(s) to successfully plan & execute full funnel marketing to
  • Measure Business Outcomes of marketing activities

Marketing Excellence

  • Understand the full funnel campaigns of partners & interject the favorable marketing mix for Microsoft benefit.
  • Prioritize measurement of business impact on marketing activities (KPI) + investments (ROI)
  • Build & share learnings
  • Ensure guidelines of privacy, brand, funding, statement of work (SOW)/ contracts, proof of execution (POE) are followed
  • Be a trusted advisor for funnel creation & conversion activities (like Events, proof of concept (POCs))

Partner Engagement

  • Coach partner on audience, insights, full funnel ROI focus, how to measure business impact & track learnings
  • Own exec engagement on marketing
  • Plan marketing activities rolling up to Shared Success Plan (SSP)
