We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Operations Program Manager within the Industry & Partner Sales (IPS) Strategy & Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Director of IPS Strategy & Operations, this role will be responsible for providing project and program management leadership across a diverse range of strategic IPS business functions including compliance, FY (fiscal year) commercial planning, Systems & BI (Business Intelligence) enablement, change management, and new/evolving strategic initiatives as prioritized. Working closely with HR, Finance, and other key business partners across IPS and MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions), you will not only drive significant business impact for IPS, but also enable organizational clarity, effectiveness and impact across our teams.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of strategic program and/or project management experience in a technology organization, working across global stakeholders, multiple functions, and complex interdependencies, or related experience.
- 4+ years of experience in analyzing and integrating both qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., ROI, key performance indicators, business performance metrics, core data analytics) to generate insights, communicate recommendations to executive leadership, and support execution across complex programs.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with analytics and problem-solving skills with solid finance/business acumen.
- Experience in traversing business, people, and P&L (profit and loss accounts) priorities with proven results in leading and executing across multiple, concurrent workstreams/initiatives.
- Experience building partnerships and influencing stakeholder groups, as well as experience in internal advocacy in a large, dynamic and highly matrixed environment.
Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
You will deliver program management leadership and execution across the following operational areas:
- IPS Compliance: Working closely with Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA), Finance, HR and other key business partners across IPS and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions, you will drive cross-organizational coordination and execution of core compliance rhythms, requirements/actions, reporting/executive status updates, etc. for prioritized compliance workstreams/workloads -- on time and with quality. You will work closely with the Senior Director of IPS Strategy and Operations and provide program management scale across a diverse range of strategic IPS compliance focus areas including Microsoft Secure Future Initiative (SFI), Responsible AI, privacy, anti-corruption/ Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), trade, and new/evolving strategic initiatives as prioritized.
- IPS Systems and BI governance/operations: working in close partnership with IPS and MCAPS teams, EDOT (Engineering, Data, Operations, and Tools) and key business partners, you will program manage all aspects of IPS’ Systems and BI governance. This includes year-over-year program refresh/design, rhythm of business execution, facilitation of quarterly prioritization steps in alignment with MCAPS/Engineering Continuous Planning cycles, budgeting support (tooling/reporting needs), and delivery of clear status reporting for cross-organization stakeholders.
- IPS fiscal year commercial planning and landing: Working in close partnership with cross-IPS teams, cross-MCAPS teams and key business partners, you will execute program management across a defined change management scope/function for IPS, in alignment with MCAPS commercial planning/landing requirements as well as IPS-driven org changes (as prioritized).
You will lead net-new IPS projects or AI-focused initiatives (as prioritized) to drive transformative, operational impact and excellence that empowers our sales organization at scale including:
- Identifying key opportunities for business improvement through a combination of analytics, qualitative insights, and business acumen.
- Performing landscape research and analysis (e.g., cross-IPS, cross-MCAPS, cross-MSFT) to drive scoping and solution recommendations for key program/operational priorities.
- Defining project/program requirements and creating project plan(s), timelines, communication rhythms/deliverables, status/risk management protocols and success measures/key performance indicators to ensure teams align and execute on a clear plan of record.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to 1) build consensus across key program/initiative goals and strategies and 2) ensure programmatic and/or business processes are solid, executed on-time/on-plan and with operational quality.
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders/partners to define and execute landing plans, leveraging industry change management methodologies to meet audience/user change needs and achieve optimal change outcomes.
