Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.
We are seeking a product manager to lead internal workload enablement efforts across Fabric's ecosystem. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will partner closely with internal product teams to ensure their workloads are seamlessly supported by the core data platform. You'll identify platform gaps, define cross-cutting requirements, and drive platform level investments that enable consistent integration across teams. The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking, technical depth, and stakeholder management skills to accelerate adoption and enable consistency.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience working cross functionally with multiple engineering functions
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Identify gaps in the Azure Data Platform that impact internal workload adoption, and define cross-cutting product requirements to drive platform consistency and reliability.
- Lead the design and prioritization of composable artifacts and infrastructure abstractions that reduce integration effort for first-party engineering teams.
- Partner closely with internal workloads to deeply understand onboarding challenges and align platform capabilities with real-world usage.
- Drive roadmap investments that improve scalability, compliance, and performance while promoting consistent architectural patterns across the platform.
