The Resource Investment Strategy organization is responsible for driving Microsoft resource allocation rigor across Microsoft’s portfolio. It is an exciting and fast-evolving team that partners deeply with engineering leaders to ensure $20B+ resources across ~100K engineering FTEs are continuously aligned to strategic engineering priorities. We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the team.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience
- 4+ year Revenue Planning and/or Consulting experience
- 4+ years Financial analysis experience
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Corporate communication & presentation skills
- Experience in developing complex financial models and scenario analysis, excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, and solve difficult problems, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and matrixed environment
- Interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills. Ability to drive simplicity within a complex and matrix environment
- Proficient technical skills (Excel/Power BI and SQL)
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Business and Finance Partnership: Provide strategic leadership to top Engineering and Finance leaders to drive operating leverage through resource allocation and investment optimization by giving visibility to the current resource landscape, analyzing macro-level results, and applying systems thinking to identify and recommend levers to influence decision-making.
- Business Health: Drive process excellence while partnering across Engineering and Finance to continuously assess the overall health of the business and understand key drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs. Ensure resources and investments are constantly aligned with business strategy, product engineering roadmaps, and company priorities.
- Thought Leadership: Establish and leverage holistic analytical framework and best practices across Finance to spot and anticipate trends and deliver insights to unlock greater efficiencies for resource allocation and investment spend.
Other
