Overview
We are seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer with a background in Windows development to actively contribute towards the delivery of high quality, compelling Windows experiences on innovating silicon platforms. This position involves partnering closely with silicon architects, Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Windows OS platform teams to deliver end-to-end debugging and diagnostics solutions including Windows AI features. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages C/C++
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software and/or product development.
- 4+ years of experience C/C++ design, coding, debugging and testing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven background as a developer leading design, implementation, and support of features.
- Self-driven and proactive, able to maintain a positive attitude and great judgment in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with the System on Chip (SOC) Hardware architecture and software for SOC.
- Practical demonstrated experience with Windows OS fundamentals and driver development, debugging strategies and engineering principles, thriving on complex and unfamiliar code bases.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams across Microsoft and the Windows Ecosystem (IHVs & OEMs) to deliver end-to-end debugging solutions for Copilot+ PCs.
- Develop kernel and user mode components for Windows to enhance diagnostic and debugging capabilities at scale that meet our security and privacy standards.
- Envision processes and develop infrastructure that efficiently integrates the new diagnostic data for teams in Windows, IHVs and OEMs to put into practice.
