The Global Partner GTM, Programs, & Operations (GPO) organization within GPS brings together the go-to-market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.

In this role, Senior Business Program Manager, Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, Services & Industry (Support) you will engage across MCAPS, product marketing, engineering, finance, compliance, legal & support to define the future of Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program offerings and benefits.

Key accountabilities include leading program design, delivery and program management for all Microsoft AI Partner Program offers focused on services and channel partners who provide support capabilities & infrastructure as well as industry specific capabilities. You will participate in design of all dependent offerings to meet expected business outcomes.

You will be part of a growing team focused on defining and mainstreaming our partner program strategy aligned to Microsoft’s cloud strategy. This position is responsible for working collaboratively across the organization to translate Microsoft business goals into a set of actionable plans and requirements that can be built into Microsoft’s partner programs, systems, tools and processes.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in a customer and/or partner facing role, optimally dealing with a variety of audiences – customers, partners (ISV, SI, start-ups, MSPs), strategy, marketing, or business development
  • 5+ years experience engaging directly with partner ecosystems, offering strategic business and technical guidance to drive adoption of enterprise solutions
  • 3+ years experience designing & delivering global scale partner program offerings and benefits
  • Deep understanding of sales & marketing lifecycle related to partner ecosystems inclusive of software development companies, SIs, Channel partners, etc as well as industry offerings for partners
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and the work that partners do to develop, build-upon, and extend cloud solutions
  • Effective communication, presentation, collaboration, interpersonal skills and executive presence
  • Ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft cloud services to business and technical decision makers
  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results
  • Ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with effective listening and partnering skills. Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures
  • Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success
  • Brings demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations
  • Ability to interact confidently with leaders in a highly-matrixed organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program, or solution. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback from a high-level audience, and maintain an executive demeanour while engaging in sometimes high-pressure situations

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program design for Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program offers benefits focused on scaling sales through software companies, channel, services partners driving partner growth and defining success metrics (KPIs or OKRs). Facilitate business decisions through data driven quantitative & qualitative analysis of market opportunity, competition & strategic direction.
  • Land changes with Microsoft field & partners and ensure partners adopt changes and drive expected business outcomes.
  • Measure business outcomes periodically and continuously seek ways to grow partners in the program.
  • Manages all relevant aspects of program P&L to meet business outcomes.
  • Manages the relationship with all relevant stakeholders to ensure partner program requirements are consistent and cohesive with other relevant business programs, systems, and tools as required.
  • Drives the development of partner program messaging and positioning and value propositions and ensure they are incorporated into the broader Microsoft Cloud Partner Program value proposition, including readiness components to drive market differentiation and real-world partner value in marketplace.
  • Provide program and project management leadership for strategic partner projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Applies a broad and deep understanding of customers, partners and internal groups' needs, drivers, and decision-making processes and plans and influences priorities and decisions to improve satisfaction, performance, and partner experience.
  • Actively seeks and creates opportunities for synergies across partners and internal groups to drive long-term industry cloud partner program solutions and shared roadmaps for program implementation, readiness and content. Establishes practices for shared strategies that set the standard for clear expectations, scope and scale, and minimize redundancies.
  • Implements protocols for risk mitigation, cost, time, quality, resources and business value. Seeks appropriate opportunities for incremental improvement and/or innovation.
