As a Senior Product Marketing Manager – Developer Audiences, you’ll support the voice of developers worldwide. You’ll identify their needs, challenges, and aspirations, and deliver the right technical content, tools, and experiences at the right time and place. You’ll shape how developers perceive and engage with Azure and our developer tools (VS [visual studio] Code, GitHub, Azure AI Foundry), positioning Microsoft as the leading AI platform for every developer. In this role, you’ll be strategic thinker and collaborative problem solver who thrives at the intersection of marketing and engineering. You’ll translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with developers and drive product adoption.

Job Location: The primary location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are three other locations where this role may be based. Candidates who do not reside in one of these four areas will be relocated to Redmond.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business, product marketing with a focus on developer relationships/management, or related experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business, product marketing with a focus on developer relationships/management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience operating within large, complex, and matrixed organizations - delivering results at scale and thriving in dynamic, agile environments.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software development and audience marketing.
  • Experience in Generative AI and related fields.
  • Experience and insight in developers and experience managing customer relationships at scale.
  • Communication skills and the proven ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Results focused with sense of accountability and experience driving projects from start to finish.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strategic mindset including interpreting data to inform strategy and execution.
  • Collaboration skills with experience developing relationships with a diverse range of partners.
  • People management and team building skills, with a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • You will create go-to-market plan for skilling including development of the value proposition, messaging, metrics, and operational model.
  • You will represent the “Voice of the Developer”, advocating for developer needs across marketing programs and events.
  • Through end-to-end adoption campaigns, compelling content in events, clear offers and ways to bring developers on the adoption journey, you’ll be responsible for building trust and relevance for the customer base worldwide.
  • You execute go-to-market developer content and marketing campaign strategies to engage, inspire, and empower the developer audience at scale. You will do this in close partnership with our integrated marketing, engineering, product marketing, customer-facing teams, and the larger Microsoft AI community.
  • You will lead scalable developer engagement programs to stimulate interest, excitement, and engagement with the developer audience.
  • You will build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as product, engineering, sales, partner, developer relations, and integrated marketing teams, to develop insights and align goals, priorities, and plans for the developer audience.
  • You will monitor emerging technologies, developer behaviors, and competitive activity to inform strategy and ensure Microsoft remains relevant and differentiated in the ecosystem.
