The Cloud Solution Architecture role involves gathering customer insights, mapping architecture, and proposing digital transformation solutions based on Microsoft technologies. The role requires coaching team members to focus on customer experience through efficient delivery, driving adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices, and providing a holistic perspective of customer challenges and competitor architectures. The role is within the Cloud and AI Platform CSA team which is dedicated to enhancing the customer's experience with Microsoft’s Cloud and AI services as they transition to cloud solutions. We achieve this by offering our customers value through adaptable and efficient delivery methods, all underpinned by standardized processes.

We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) specializing in Data to join our Cloud and AI Platforms (CAIP) team. This role is pivotal in helping customers realize the full value of Microsoft’s data platform, including Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and AI-powered analytics. You will work directly with enterprise customers to drive deep usage, accelerate adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud solutions, or consulting.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Services and modern data platforms.
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Preferred

  • Certifications: Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100), Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI-driven analytics.
  • Familiarity with CAF/WAF, data governance, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

Customer Centricity

  • Gather and apply customer insights to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to internal teams, sharing feedback and influencing product direction.
  • Support customer skilling and readiness by facilitating technical discussions and best practices.

Technical Leadership

  • Deliver architectural guidance across Azure Data Services, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Lead design sessions and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate solution value.
  • Collaborate with engineering and partner teams to close capability gaps and accelerate deployments.

Business Impact

  • Drive usage milestones aligned with MCEM stages 4–5.
  • Contribute to pipeline creation and expansion through technical enablement and solution delivery.
  • Maintain operational excellence through rigorous documentation and time tracking.
