Overview

Partner Investments drives revenue growth for Microsoft by leading the decisions and governance for the multi-billion portfolio of commercial investments across our Global Channel Partner Sales organization (GCPS). In addition, the team provides the governance and end-to-end ownership for systems, tools, analytics and compliance for GCPS.

This team is looking for a talented analyst to join. As a Partner Investments Analyst, you will play a lead role in driving in-depth analysis, producing insights and recommendations to existing and future partner incentives programs. Present findings to leadership and influence stakeholders to adopt your recommendations. As the primary business owner of incentives data, you will also drive enhancement requirements to our incentives data pipeline and internal reporting, partnering with the incentives engineering teams.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, or business analytics roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to understand concepts within partner ecosystems and incentive structures, offering insights that contribute to strategic problem-solving within broader business contexts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytics, encompassing statistical inference and analysis, data visualization, and data management
  • Experience in tools such as DAX, Excel PowerPivot, SQL & Kusto
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues and scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts with audiences of all levels
  • Keen ability to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Well organized with skills in cross-team collaboration
  • Exhibit business curiosity with the ability to act broadly across the Commercial Partner landscape
  • Exhibit a high degree of self-awareness, professional maturity, and situational leadership
  • Comfortable driving impactful outcomes in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a forward-thinking mindset
  • Ability to learn new technical capabilities (datasets, tools) as needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft commercial licensing and Partner Ecosystem is a plus

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to build pipeline of business questions and analysis required
  • Perform in-depth analysis using statistical methods and provide recommendations on current and future incentives design. Share & advocate recommendations to influence Leadership and business stakeholders
  • Support business review rhythm with key insights & analysis for strategic incentives
  • Built what-if models to understand impact of proposed designs relative to partner earning opportunity, forecast & impact
  • Build connections with other analytic & data science teams to amplify & extend scale of work and leverage practices
  • Support key stakeholders with ad-hoc queries on partner incentives
  • Drive incentives data pipeline enhancements with upstream engineering teams
  • Drive design & recommendations of incentives internal reporting experience, define key KPIs, metrics & views
