The DC Infrastructure and Strategy team leads portfolio decision-making for new data center investments. As a team leader, you'll steer strategic partnerships and competitive intelligence to maintain Microsoft Cloud's market edge. We're seeking a Finance Director, Data Center Infrastrucutre Strategy to oversee key infrastructure investments in land, land development, lease procurement, and data center construction.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
- 5+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 5+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 3+ years experience managing direct reports.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 15+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Financial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic investment discussions for Microsoft’s cloud growth, balancing cost, speed to market, and capital expenditure management.
- Collaborate with cloud infrastructure acquisition leaders to develop strategies for land purchases, land development and datacenter leases.
- Conduct go-to-market assessments, provide decision support, and analyze build vs lease scenarios using total cost of ownership models.
- Drive portfolio-level alignment for data center investments, across different form factors, existing presence in the region and accounting for impact from strategic partnerships.
- Synthesize diverse data sources into clear executive summaries for leadership decisions.
