Overview

Are you excited to shape the future of AI-powered business transformation? As the Global GTM Strategy Lead - Agentic AI, you’ll play a key role in defining and scaling Microsoft’s strategy for agent-based AI systems. In this position, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy, technology, and business - collaborating with engineering, field, and partner teams to bring agentic AI solutions to life through practical, impactful use cases.

This role sits within the Azure AI Apps Go-To-Market team and is focused on accelerating the adoption of agentic AI solutions as part for Azure AI Foundry across Microsoft’s commercial ecosystem.

In this role, you will architect the business strategy, go-to-market approach, and customer engagement models to drive scalable, responsible, and impactful agentic AI solutions. You’ll own overall revenue for agentic AI services, managing key metrics and addressing new market opportunities. You will also lead sales programs that leverage agentic AI and Azure AI Foundry to solve customer challenges, partnering with Marketing and Engineering to share feedback and shape product strategy.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in business architecture, product strategy, or technical sales in enterprise technology with:
    • Deep understanding of AI and App technologies, including LLMs, Agent protocols (MCP, A2A), orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernal, AutoGen etc.), and agentic design patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience building global-scale GTM Strategies, and leading cross functional teams of sales / marketing / engineering to execute on outcomes.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Azure AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle Processes, including CI/CD, platform engineering, and evaluation pipelines.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture & Program Design
  • Design and launch AI-led sales programs with key Microsoft partners to increase Azure AI Foundry and Agentic AI market share, including Enterprises, Digital Natives, and Developers.
  • Coach global sales teams and managers to execute Agentic AI opportunities effectively.
  • Collaborate with sales, partners, marketing, and engineering to drive coordinated cross-business AI strategies. This includes connecting the agent narrative and motions from low-code to Pro dev.
  • Translate technical capabilities and architectures into business-aligned solution frameworks.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to shape roadmap priorities based on customer and field feedback.

Customer & Field Enablement

  • Lead the development of scalable sales plays, reference architectures, and enablement content to support field teams and partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic customers, helping them envision and implement agentic AI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Solution Architects, Global Black Belts, and Industry Specialists to land agentic AI in industry-specific scenarios.

Thought Leadership & Evangelism

  • Represent Microsoft in executive briefings, industry forums, and customer workshops as a thought leader in agentic AI.
  • Contribute to internal and external content that advances Microsoft’s leadership in responsible and scalable AI, especially for agentic applications spanning low-code and pro-dev.

Business Impact & Insights

  • Own revenue accountability and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to agentic AI adoption, usage, and customer success.
  • Capture and synthesize insights from customer, Field, and partners teams to drive improvements in business strategy and product roadmap.
