The Cloud Security team delivers core security attestation services used by millions of Windows devices, Azure and Edge Virtual machines and Confidential compute scenarios. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team!
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in C++ and object-oriented languages such as Java or C#, with expertise in OS lower-stack development.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience developing and shipping software/services.
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- Experience in core OS Components and distributed services.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and C#.
- Willingness to continuously learn and solve ambiguous problems.
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated debugging skills.

Responsibilities
- Work on Linux and Windows operating systems and build cloud services that scale to millions of clients.
- Build and deliver highly-available, distributed services end-to-end that integrate with core Azure components
- Work on platform security technologies like Secure Boot, disk encryption, and code integrity.
- Work on Open Source Software (OSS) technologies.
- Work in an agile / Dev-Ops environment.
