In the Security Specialists team, we are looking for passionate, experienced, and credible specialist sellers with a drive for developing and winning strategic opportunities that deliver end-to-end security thought leadership, driving significant customer value, and enabling transformational customer outcomes. The Specialist seller works closely with customers to identify their cybersecurity needs and recommend the best solutions from Microsoft's suite of products and services.
As a Security Sales Specialist, you will build secure digital transformation strategies with customers, collaborating with different groups inside the customer environment to successfully enable them to be more secure. You will lead consultative customer conversations and collaborate on the planning, orchestration, and execution of end-to-end Security opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell. This opportunity will allow you to learn and accelerate your career growth, hone your solution sales and collaboration skills, and deepen your end-to-end security expertise.
This role is based in Ottawa and is focused on supporting Federal Government accounts. You will be partnering with public sector organizations on their security journey, helping them modernize and protect their digital estates. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your sales career growth and evolve your selling skills by working with some of the most strategic and security-conscious customers in the country.
We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and credible security sales professional who has experience selling cybersecurity solutions across threat protection, secure multi-cloud, and compliance to join our global team of Security Specialists. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, Information Security, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years solution or services sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years solution or services sales experience.
- Experience working with or selling to the Canadian Federal Government is strongly preferred
Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $103,500 - CAD $170,700 per year.

Responsibilities
- Sales Execution: Drive secure digital transformation across workloads. Collaborate with a virtual team to assess customer needs and build stakeholder maps to accelerate deal closure, drive consumption, and grow licensing transactions with new and existing Federal Government customers.
- Scaling and Collaboration: Orchestrate end-to-end Security opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell.
- Technical Expertise: Lead Security conversations, share best practices and competitive insights, and evaluate opportunities to make strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrate operational excellence in forecasting, pipeline health, CRM hygiene, opportunity management, and team orchestration.
- Use innovative approaches to drive new sales, including joint events, social selling, and networking.
- Bring experience with cloud and security technologies (IAM, threat protection, data protection, cloud security) and familiarity with public sector standards and compliance frameworks.
- Sales Excellence: Strategically plan for Federal accounts, analyze business opportunities, and manage the end-to-end Security business across the territory. Complete required training and certifications aligned to the role and industry.

- Exceed sales goals in the assigned Federal Government territory.
- Demonstrate strong sales and partner management experience.
