Microsoft Quantum has assembled a talented and diverse international team to create the world’s first scalable quantum computing system. We work alongside internal research teams in the development of future quantum processing hardware. We are working on new Azure services and software to help us invite even more people into our industry-leading quantum ecosystem.
As a Senior Quantum AI Engineer on our data team, you will proactively seek out impactful opportunities to leverage generative AI and machine learning within our data infrastructure. Your role goes beyond implementation—you will independently identify areas where advanced AI solutions can drive innovation and value. By harnessing technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake, you will architect and build robust, scalable infrastructure components and data pipelines. Your fluency in Python will be essential for developing efficient, reliable code that powers our data ecosystem.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
- Deep hands-on experience with python for data processing, automation, and/or software development.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies (such as large language models, generative models, or related frameworks).
- Track record of spotting high-impact opportunities and driving them independently to completion.
Preferred qualifications
- Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving business needs.
- Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying machine learning opportunities and driving impactful outcomes is highly desirable.
- Experience collaborating with hardware teams and developing software solutions tailored to their needs is a plus.
