Qualifications

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience in account management, including the development and execution of strategic account plans.
  • Background in industries such as Retail, or relevant experience in consulting or technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and orchestrate cross-functional virtual teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Established track record as a trusted advisor to senior executives, with strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience closing large, complex agreements/deals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience in a relevant industry or in leading digital transformation initiatives; or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • The AE owns the customer relationship end-to-end, partnering with an Account Technology Strategist (ATS) with additional emphasis on driving BDM relationships and AI Transformation.
  • Strategic sales planning, pipeline generation, and orchestration of the full account team to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer outcomes are met are critical components of the AE role
  • Use digital signals to identify and prioritize customer needs and opportunities
  • Lead on Commercial negotiations
  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders on business planning, to promote mutually beneficial customer digital transformation strategies.
  • Orchestrate full customer team across all areas of Microsoft to ensure we are focused on delivering customer outcomes across the customer lifecycle to build deep trust with Microsoft.
  • Industry Relevant Trusted Seller – Proactively develops a strong understanding of the customer’s business, industry priorities to drive new business opportunities/ drive growth/net new business.
  • Industry Knowledge – Builds and maintains a strong knowledge of customers’ industry, associated business strategy, and key industry partners and solutions. Gains deeper insights and knowledge through direct engagement in their customers’ business and operations.
