The Generalized Agents and Incubations team is a high-impact innovation group within Microsoft Security, focused on building agentic AI systems that generalise across tasks, tools, and domains. Operating with a startup-like culture, we drive rapid experimentation, deep technical ownership, and bold problem-solving. 7+ years of experience in software engineering or AI systems development, with a strong track record of shipping impactful products. Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, or GenAI workflows; experience with LLMs and autonomous agents preferred. Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow; experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred). Experience contributing to full-stack development, including backend services and frontend interfaces for AI workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.

Design and build agentic AI systems that generalise across domains and tools, leveraging GenAI techniques to deliver intelligent automation in security workflows. Prototype and iterate rapidly on LLM-powered agents and multi-modal models, driving innovation in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. Contribute across the full stack, from model development and backend services to frontend interfaces that enable intuitive agent interactions. Collaborate cross-functionally with research, product, and engineering teams to translate cutting-edge ideas into production-grade solutions. Champion engineering excellence, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability in every layer of the AI product stack.
