Overview

With a vision to "Build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more," Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS) is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with partners through innovative solutions–at scale! The Global Partner GTM, Programs, & Operations (GPO) organization within GPS brings together the go-to-market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.

In this role, Senior Partner Marketing Manager, To-Partner Communications, you will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans to drive strategic business initiatives and key change moments and content strategy for key events for Microsoft partners. You will work collaboratively with cross-company internal teams and the broader Microsoft partner teams to craft and communicate a cohesive partner story that highlights the value of Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program (MAICPP) offerings across the partner lifecycle. You will be accountable for understanding program priorities, getting close to partner audiences, defining content journeys that attract, enable, recognize, and retain partners, and developing integrated marketing and communications plans supported by clear measurement frameworks.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in a customer and/or partner facing role, optimally dealing with a variety of audiences – customers, partners (ISV, SI, start-ups, MSPs), strategy, skilling, marketing, or business development
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with the partner ecosystem to provide both business and technical guidance, and secure partner commitment to adopt business solutions
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and the work that partners do to develop, build-upon, and extend cloud solutions
  • Product Management and/or audience marketing experience is required, including modern marketing practices, and advanced skills at writing marketing materials, value propositions, and messaging
  • Ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft cloud services to business and technical decision makers
  • Demonstrated track record of creating repeatable practices on demand generation and awareness campaigns, workshops, metrics, and sales readiness
  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.
  • Ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with effective listening and partnering skills. Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.
  • Engagement expertise: Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success
  • Brings demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations
  • Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with leaders in a highly-matrixed organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program, or solution. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback from a high-level audience, and maintain an executive demeanour while engaging in sometimes high-pressure situations

Partner Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans that promote the full value of partner skilling, Microsoft events, and demand generation strategies. Ensure alignment with MAICPP, GCSP, and EPS priorities across the partner journey—including build, GTM motions, enablement, and change management
  • Define and drive the overall marketing strategy, including campaign development, solution launch plans, and globally scalable GTM programs that support the Microsoft ecosystem.

Content Development & Storytelling

  • Create comprehensive content plans and core bill of materials (BOM) informed by partner and customer insights, clearly articulating the benefits of Microsoft’s AI Cloud Partner Program, co-sell, and Microsoft partner event opportunities.
  • Develop top-level narratives and messaging guides aligned to key partner moments to ensure consistent storytelling across content channels and field engagements.
  • Lead the creation of ‘better together’ messaging, offers, incentives, and joint PR/event marketing initiatives.

Performance Measurement & Fiscal Accountability

  • Establish success metrics, measurement frameworks, and KPIs to report impact and engagement to internal stakeholders across SME&C, GCSP, EPS, Business Planning, and GDC.
  • Ensure budget management practices deliver high ROI and comply with Microsoft policies, with a focus on fiscal accountability and cooperative fund optimization.

Partner Engagement & Advocacy

  • Act as a relentless advocate for Microsoft partners by ensuring their needs, experiences, and feedback shape content and marketing strategies. Consider how partners discover, engage with, and apply content to grow their business and drive customer success.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all content and communications adhere to Microsoft’s privacy, security, and brand guidelines.
  • Support PR and communications to accurately represent Benefits & Incentives, Skilling, co-sell, and Microsoft events across internal and external channels.

Team Collaboration & Excellence

  • Contribute to the team’s marketing excellence by sharing practices, fostering an inclusive culture, and supporting the continual development of Microsoft’s partner success strategy.
  • Leverage technical and industry expertise to serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to partners.
  • Drive new capabilities and partner experiences that provide advantage and land key product messages.
