Overview

The Azure Core Marketing Team is searching for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team. We are a passionate and entrepreneurial group of product marketers and play a critical role in driving the growth of the Azure business. Your goal will be to reach customers who run VMware solutions in their own datacenters that are ready to migrate and modernize with Azure. This will enable them to unlock the power of business-critical apps and data using other Microsoft Cloud services such as analytics and AI.


Together with stakeholders across Azure marketing, engineering, sales, and partner teams, you will help build a high-impact marketing strategy, create clear and differentiated messaging, and deliver high impact content for customers, field and partners. The optimal candidate will take the outside-in view of customer experience, based on market intelligence and field and partner feedback. You will demonstrate a zeal for storytelling skills to create compelling content that brings our solutions to life and inspires customers to take the next step.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience crafting product messaging and content for customers, partners and sales teams.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of product management and marketing experience and/or technical pre-sales or related technology experience, including experience in cloud / SaaS environments.

Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer use cases and buyer personas.
  • Analyze customer and market signals, including market research and compete analysis.
  • Develop core product messaging framework that differentiates products and services from others in the market.
  • Create content such as decks, videos, website copy and blog posts to bring the value proposition to life.
  • Communicate the value of new products and services to the sales and partner teams.
  • Drive a customer evidence program to capture great written and video case studies across industries and geographies.
  • Use cross-functional orchestration and develop partnerships (e.g., Marketing, Partner, SWE, Design, Services, Sales) to lead and deliver differentiated customer value and company growth while understanding cross-functional accountabilities.
