Join the HR (Human Resources) Finance Team and be the strategic partner to Microsoft's Human Resources Services and Digital Employee Experiences (HRSDEE) organization! HRSDEE spans a broad spectrum of HR functions, from employee interactions via AskHR service centers to the development and deployment of cutting-edge technologies and AI (artificial intelligence) solutions that enhance the employee experience across Microsoft. We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Manager, HR Strategy & Experience, to support the HRSDEE organization and serve as a strategic finance partner, providing controllership and analytical insights that shape long-term planning, cost management, and resource allocation.
Key focus areas include:
- Partnering closely with HRSDEE leadership to drive strategic financial decisions
- Delivering actionable insights on cost drivers, efficiency opportunities, and investment trade-offs
- Leading long-range planning and budgeting processes with a focus on optimization and scalability
- Influencing technology and platform evolution through financial modeling and scenario planning

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of business partnering experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Drive Financial Insights: Analyze the financial performance of the HRSDEE teams and support leaders in identifying opportunities for resource optimization. Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Support Financial Operations: Manage financial close activities and deliver recurring reports, forecasts, and presentations. Compare actual results against budget and forecast to inform future initiatives.
- Partner and Advise: Respond to partner inquiries with clear, data-driven insights. Contribute to long-range planning, variance analysis, and financial strategy using foundational Microsoft Finance principles.
- Leverage Data and Analytics: Use data mining, business intelligence, and advanced analytics—including predictive modeling and statistical techniques—to generate actionable insights. Continuously improve data collection and communication methods.
- Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Review financial documents and business processes to ensure alignment with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements. Provide guidance on documentation and policy interpretation.
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate on high-impact projects that evolve the finance function to meet the growing scale and complexity of the business.
