We protect customers from cyber threats and advanced attacks by delivering a comprehensive, AI-driven security stack spanning identities, devices, email, apps, code, and data across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud estates, delivered through a unified threat protection platform powered by GenAI. As you join the Microsoft Threat Protection CxE Pre-Intent team, as the Senior Product Manager you’ll be part of a dynamic, diverse, and global group that wins together. We challenge assumptions, innovate responsibly, and operate ethically—moving with urgency and clarity to drive impact for the Microsoft Threat Protection business. You’ll partner closely with Engineering to convert market and competitor signals into clear, data-backed roadmap decisions for Microsoft Threat Protection and adjacent security offerings.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5 + years of Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Threat Protection stack solutions and/or leading competitors.
- 3+ years of experience publishing white papers, blogs, position documents, or thought leadership presentations.
- 3+ years of experience with Google Security, CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
- Minium of 5 years of proven customer facing enterprice experience.
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, attacker techniques, defense strategies), including experience with detection and response methodologies.
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, field sales, etc.) to align product capabilities with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Ability to conduct deep research and gain deep knowledge of new domains and competitive offerings, having the agility to acquire new domain expertise in a shifting and dynamic landscape of threat protection.
- Ability to create technical demos, proof-of-concepts, and collateral that effectively communicate product capabilities and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working at the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) level for enterprise customers and at the engineering executive level.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead the product’s competitive strategy in the threat protection space, driving clear, executive‑ready recommendations that shape engineering priorities and investment choices.
- Synthesize mixed‑method research—public/desk research plus structured interviews with customers, field, and internal SMEs—into sharp top‑line narratives, quantified signals, and actionable investment recommendations.
- Partner closely with Engineering (PMs, architects, researchers) to translate insights into prioritized backlogs, measurable hypotheses, and experiments that close competitive gaps.
- Enable field credibility with concise competitive‑strategy narratives, demos, and webinars that shape customer perception of the Microsoft Threat Protection suite and accelerate adoption.
