We are hiring multiple roles across our Infrastructure and AI Applications teams in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra. In these roles, you’ll be at the forefront of projects that harness the latest technologies to help customers modernize applications, adopt AI at scale, and transform their businesses.
As a Solution Engineer, you’ll work side-by-side with customers and partners to design and deploy secure, scalable, AI-powered solutions. You’ll engage in hands-on activities such as proof of concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops, while providing trusted technical guidance on the use of Azure AI, AI Foundry, Responsible AI, and Microsoft’s cloud platform.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience
5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, ideally with enterprise customers
- Experience leading technical engagements such as proof-of-concepts, minimum viable products, or hackathons that drive production-scale outcomes
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
5+ years of experience in full-stack application architecture, modernization, and cloud-native development (APIs, containerization, microservices, event-driven systems, Python, Java, or .NET)
Experience with AI and machine learning models, including Agentic AI frameworks, AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, Foundry SDK, Responsible AI, and techniques such as fine-tuning and inferencing
Strong background in cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, including architecture design, migrations, industry standards, and technology management
Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Azure Architect, Azure Developer, Cloud Platform Technologies, or related certifications)
Responsibilities
Drive technical sales conversations with business and technical decision makers, using demos and proof-of-concepts to shape solution design and accelerate production deployments.
Lead hands-on engagements such as hackathons, code-with sessions, and architecture workshops to fast-track adoption of Microsoft developer tools and cloud platforms.
Build trusted relationships with developers and platform leaders, co-designing secure, scalable, and innovative architectures.
Resolve technical blockers and objections, working closely with engineering teams to provide feedback and influence product improvements.
Develop and maintain expertise in AI Foundry and AI application architecture, including Agentic AI frameworks, Semantic Kernel, Foundry SDK, and Responsible AI.
Grow skills in cloud-native development, including APIs, containerization, microservices, event-driven systems, and programming in Python, Java, or .NET.
Expand knowledge in AI management and security, including GenAI Ops, Sentinel, orchestration, and monitoring.
Represent Microsoft as a thought leader in developer communities and customer forums.
