The HLS Platform team aims to create an efficient and connected healthcare ecosystem built on the Microsoft Cloud, empowering everyone across the healthcare journey to collaborate, communicate, and innovate together to provide better experiences for clinicians, staff, and patients.
Our team has an exciting opportunity for seeking a Sr Product Designer to join the Clinician User Experiences team. This team is leading the delivery of first party solutions and applications to health & life sciences clients powered by Microsoft Azure and AI to transform how we work.
As a Senior Designer, you will define specific product needs based on user insights to ideate to define solutions to meet user needs and create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of a product, software, device, or service. This opportunity will allow you to focus on end-to-end user experiences, empathizing and balancing experiences with business and technical tradeoffs. You will produce visual designs from concept through delivery and sustainment, support interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences, and partner with internal and external development teams, marketing and design groups to research and analyze customer feedback for incorporation into product enhancements, new product designs and overall design language and strategy.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
- Experience working in healthcare design, international product design, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working with complicated systems in health care space
- 0-1 product design with a strength in craft and big picture strategy
- Experience with stakeholder management experience is a must (working closely with product and dev, with some Research - product dev and other UX)
- Experience designing consumer grade enterprise level platforms
AI experience is a super nice to have
Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
We are looking for passionate people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability
- You will interact with Engineering and perform QAs to ensure quality while showing the ability to challenge design limitations. You’ll also produce visual designs and mentor others on their creation.
- You will create wireframes, journey maps, and other elements to support interaction design. You’ll also begin to lead product UX improvements by creating interaction models while acting as a liaison between users and products.
- You will communicate with cross-disciplinary teams across all stages of design and development. You will also tell a compelling, convincing product story to a specific audience.
- You will work with creative team members, program managers, and developers to define product features. You’ll collaborate with your team to deliver product design results while also providing guidance to product designers.
