The Human Intelligence team within Windows ASG (Applied Science Group) at Microsoft is dedicated to developing cutting-edge human centric AI solutions in the areas of face recognition, liveness detection, and Seeing AI – a technology designed to empower people who are vision impaired. We are seeking a passionate and talented Software Engineer II - Fullstack to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in developing and delivering full-stack solutions, ranging from robust backend services to engaging front-end mobile applications. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ARIA).
  • Contributions to open-source or accessibility-related projects.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.ork across and partner with multiple engineering teams to achieve business goals.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with full-stack development, including backend services (e.g., C#, Dot NET, Azure, REST APIs) and front-end/mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Xamarin, UWP, Swift, or Android).
  • Understanding of AI and computer vision concepts; experience with face recognition or liveness detection is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices and a passion for building inclusive technology.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications.
  • Build intuitive, accessible front-end experiences for mobile and Windows platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver new features.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in AI, computer vision, and accessibility.
