As a Senior Software Engineer – Web Platform & Edge Delivery Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in migrating multiple sites to EDS, building and scaling our Web Components library, and integrating Adobe Experience Cloud tools to deliver high-performance, enterprise-grade solutions. This role blends hands-on coding with architectural influence, governance, and vendor code review—directly impacting KPIs such as cost savings, development velocity, and platform scalability while helping define how Microsoft delivers modern web experiences at scale.
E&E Marketing Services is seeking for a forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer – Web Platform & Edge Delivery Services to help drive the next generation of modern, performant web experiences at Microsoft. This role is ideal for a highly technical and web-savvy engineer who’s passionate about frontend technologies, scalable architectures, and developer productivity. You will design and build high-quality, production-ready web solutions—collaborating with other engineers, designers, and product owners to translate business needs into elegant, maintainable code. A key focus of this role is engineering projects that leverage Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and Web Components, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-performance outcomes. You’ll write and review code, provide constructive feedback to vendor teams, and drive implementation in alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with enterprise web technologies using modern web framework (web components/typescript etc.) and platforms (Adobe - EDS (Edge Delivery Services) or Adobe - AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)).
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience working within a Marketing Team.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications with a strong focus on Adobe EDS and Web Components.
- Implement features based on technical specifications, Figma designs, and architectural guidelines.
- Write clean, modular, and performant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript code, with reusable UI components.
- Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to accessibility and security standards.
- Contribute to the evolution of shared design systems and frontend architecture. Technical Leadership
- Review and validate vendor-delivered code for quality, performance, and compliance.
- Guide teams on best practices for modern frontend frameworks, design systems, and EDS pipelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency through automation, tooling, and out-of-the-box solutions. Platform Integration & Innovation
- Integrate Adobe Experience Cloud tools including AEM Sites/Assets, Workfront, Analytics, and Target.
- Develop and extend Edge Delivery Services templates, components, and workflows.
- Implement analytics, tagging, and A/B testing strategies to support experimentation and optimization.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., prompt orchestration, OpenAI APIs) to enhance development and delivery processes. Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering leads to define and deliver high-impact features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale web platforms.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
