Overview

The mission of the Azure Hyperscale Network (AHN) team is to build and manage the global network for the Microsoft Cloud. We are responsible for managing Fiber, Optical, WAN, Metro and Edge/Peering connectivity globally for all Microsoft services. Our focus is to set strategic direction and manage our infrastructure portfolio to create the most efficient network for our customers and their mission critical services. We have exciting opportunities for you to innovate, influence, transform, inspire, and grow within our organization and we encourage you to apply to learn more!

In the era of AI, the demand on the infrastructure has increased exponentially, from GPU, Compute, to Storage. All these resources place enormous demand on the network infrastructure that connects everything together, with tens to hundreds of terabits per second bandwidth, stringing requirements on latencies and jitters. A close interaction between routing, load balancing, and traffic engineering is required to build and operate this global network infrastructure with optimal efficiency and reliability.

We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager.

The candidate would have an engineering background, an understanding of network routing and traffic engineering technology and large-scale deployment principles and activities. Candidates need to have demonstrated written and verbal communication, an understanding for technology, experience providing guidance and direction to technical audiences, ability to drive towards the “big picture” while managing details, and the ability to build relationships with key partners.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
