Overview

The Compliance, Governance & Sustainability (CG&S) team within Microsoft Devices Operations is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Program Manager - Supply Chain Responsibility & Resilience to help advance Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more—responsibly and sustainably. This role is pivotal in shaping supply chain governance and risk frameworks and in driving strategic responses to emerging risks, including trade, supply chain due diligence, and geopolitical issues. You will also play a critical role in shaping our manufacturing footprint to support business continuity and resilience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in risk management, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, operations, and/or finance
    • OR 8+ years experience in risk management, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, operations, and/or finance
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in trade regulations, responsible sourcing, compliance and/or risk management.
  • Experience in program management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex compliance programs across global operations and supporting manufacturing strategy and footprint decisions from a compliance and sustainability perspective.
  • Proficient communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s internal compliance and sustainability tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven compliance solutions and digital risk management platforms.

Risk Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a supply chain risk intelligence mechanism and support manufacturing footprint decisions by integrating compliance and risk considerations into supply chain management and supplier requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of Microsoft’s ERM framework for CG&S, while supporting alignment across Microsoft Devices Operations and the company to establish a unified, enterprise-wide view of supply chain risk.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and geopolitical developments to assess and drive a proactive risk response.
  • Advance our supply chain responsibility programs, focused on ethical, sustainable, and secure supply chain policy.
  • Support supply chain due diligence and traceability efforts with playbooks, guidance, and tools for implementation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across CELA, supply chains, engineering, and product teams to proactively identify and mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
  • Drive programmatic solutions that scale compliance and support risk management through automation, AI, and data-driven insights.
  • Represent Compliance, Governance & Sustainability in internal forums and working groups, contributing to enterprise-wide environmental, social, and governance initiatives.
