The Windows Experiences team builds the core experiences in Windows like Start, Taskbar, and File Explorer. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in User Experience (UX) or User Interface (UI) design and development.
  • 1+ years of experience working with AI assistants or agents, including designing or integrating AI-powered experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills (written & oral), a strong background of influencing others, and bias towards action.
  • Knowledge and use of AI tools for product management responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and across levels of management, and ability to engage in a healthy team culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated interest and empathy for understanding customer scenarios and experiences, generating actionable insights through qualitative and quantitative data and experiments, and driving business growth through strategies and feature delivery.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver user experiences that leverage AI to simplify and accelerate everyday tasks, particularly within Windows Shell surfaces like File Explorer, Start Menu, and Taskbar.
  • Enable customer success and business growth by driving new feature value and experiences that have high craft, quality, ease of use, and delight.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Research, Marketing, and Data Science to evaluate, experiment, and iterate on solutions that solve true customer needs and drive growth.
  • Communicate your features’ requirements, value, impact, and execution plan, and manage cross-organizational partnerships for your feature areas as needed.
  • Contribute to and drive an AI-informed, data-driven, and deeply empathetic customer product culture, modeling inclusivity and teamwork across teams.
