Microsoft’s Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) business unit is responsible for key aspects of the cloud supply chain, from planning and execution to capacity provisioning, decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide. CSCP also has responsibility for managing and executing the cloud sustainability strategy, ensuring that the cloud supply chain is continually optimized to support Microsoft’s environmental goals for a sustainable future.
As Microsoft scales to become the global leader in cloud deployments and services, we are embedding sustainability across the product lifecycle by deeply understanding the sustainability impact of our supply chain and cloud hardware underpinning this growth. With a science and data centric approach we want to lead industry and develop the carbon roadmap to achieve Microsoft Sustainability goals.
We are looking for an experienced Sustainable Supply Chain Senior Program Manager to join our team. This role blends technical depth, strategic foresight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure remains scalable, efficient, and sustainable. The role will work closely with Microsoft supply chain leaders, data scientists and engineers within a world class supply chain organization.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years' experience in project management, operations, or engineering
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years' experience in project management, operations, or engineering
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years working in a professional corporate environment with executive level presentation skills
- 3+ years of program management skills, including ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be requiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred qualifications :
- 2+ years working with Corporate Sustainability, with sustainability frameworks, carbon accounting, and circular economy principles.
- Good communication skills, with track record of working with senior leadership in a business-to-business context. Ability to navigate and achieve positive outcomes in an ambiguous context and to influence without direct authority
- Ability to think strategically while completing day-to-day execution
- Information processing skills, including deep understanding of datasets and data analysis, including transformation and modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Power BI reporting and data visualization. Able to use data to inform high-impact decisions.
- Ability to work independently when required, and as part of a team
- 4+ years of experience in hardware planning, product management, or engineering roles within cloud infrastructure or semiconductor industries.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts simply and technical process documentation experience
- Knowledge of Azure workloads and infrastructure components.
- Proven ability to write white papers, strategy documents.
Technical Solution Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Sustainable Hardware: Develop and maintain long-term hardware and technology decarbonization roadmaps for Azure cloud services. Maintain an integrated roadmap and analytical model to support prioritization and decision-making in support of Microsoft’s sustainability goals.
- Workload Analysis: Evaluate project sustainability KPIs and ROI across product families and suppliers to inform decarbonization strategy
- Sustainability Integration: Partner with other team members to translate life cycle assessments (LCA) and sustainability impact modeling for cloud hardware and software. Partner with internal engineering teams to integrate sustainability into key product performance and TCO metrics.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and execution teams to align decarbonization targets with business objectives and operational constraints.
- Technology Pathfinding: Support hardware teams with sustainability data for architecture pathfinding to identify emerging technologies and assess their fit within Cloud IT infrastructure.
- Carbon roadmap impact: Develop metrics to compare carbon emissions reductions plan vs. actuals.
- Carbon roadmap program management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Microsoft supply chain teams, to collect and size carbon reduction intake, develop executive communications on status.
