The Commercial Marketplace Experience (CMX) team is responsible for Microsoft Marketplace, targeting developers, IT professionals and business applications. Marketplace is the business engine that enables customers to seamlessly discover, try and buy every cloud solution that matters. Working with a network of thousands of partners around the world, hundreds of thousands of listings such as cloud building blocks, software products, and industry solutions. The Cloud Marketplace is driving Microsoft’s business across Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365.

We are looking for a Backend Software engineer to join our development team. This team is responsible for the backend and frontend development of our commercial marketplace.

Qualifications

· At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience (design, coding) building large-scale software and services.

· BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field OR Equivalent experience

Other Qualifications:

· Experience in cloud service development and working with data (C#, Java, C++, or similar)

· Passion for user experience, building cool stuff and making an impact.

· Passion for new technologies and data.

· Attention to details and passion for quality.

· Team player.

· Proficiency in spoken and written English.

· Experience with AI.

· Have Cloud and Azure experience.

· Be interested in working in a global environment.

· Be interested in contributing to a diverse and inclusive team.

· Have a strong ability to build relationships, influence, and forge alignment among stakeholders and executives.

· Be adept at communicating across diverse audiences (engineering, marketing, and partner executives)

· Manage ambiguity well, as well as frame, analyze and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for major development efforts.
  • Gain knowledge and be a subject matter expert in various domains.
  • Write design specifications that address business requirements, and drive signoff by all stakeholders.
  • Represent the team in technical meetings.
  • Own and maintain service live site operations
  • Focus on engineering, security, and compliance.
