Overview

The AI Business Solutions (ABS) team is part of the MCAPS Commercial Solution Area team, responsible for driving the AI-driven transformation of every workplace, business process, and line of business. We achieve these objectives by:

  1. Re-imagining how we align GTM levers (Field, Finance, Engineering, Business planning, Marketing, Partners) to accelerate growth and capture new TAM.
  2. Continuously evolving our field sales model to further align to customer buying patterns, targeting key personas to capture untapped budgets and gain market share.
  3. Enable a world-class sales force and empower them to drive success, both the customer’s and Microsoft’s

In the Business Architecture team, within the ABS GTM team, we are passionate about this mission, and we are looking for a director to lead our AI Workforce business architecture team, with the objective of enabling our field to best serve our customers and Microsoft’s growth ambitions. As the BA Leader, you will be guiding the team responsible for building the business and sales strategy across the Secure Productivity (M365) and Cloud Endpoints (W365, AVD, Intune) solution portfolios. You will work collaboratively with leaders across sales, engineering, marketing, and business planning to drive our global strategy for new ways of reaching and serving customers.


The ideal candidate will be structured, analytical, entrepreneurial, curious, and excited to apply their passion to defining the right field model to accelerate our ability to deliver Microsoft cloud solutions that spans our solution areas. The Director, Business Architect Leader for AI Workforce, will innovate in how we work with and serve customers and will be a visible advocate for the field and will be counted on to represent its voice and customers across our corporate functions. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
  • 4+ years people management experience in managing a geographically distributed team for global strategy.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft's Modern Work and Productivity portfolio.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience with an emphasis on large scope projects partnering with senior leadership OR equivalent experience

Sales Strategy Enablement M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400 - $303,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the GTM strategy for the Secure Productivity and Cloud Endpoint solution plays, with a focus on:
    • Blueprint and capacity
    • Sales model design, role orchestration and sales motions
    • Incentives and compensation
  • Engage and influence corporate and field stakeholders to drive alignment around the plan and align across GTM levers inclusive of:
    • Business model
    • Marketing strategy and collateral
    • Product roadmap
    • Partner strategy
  • Innovate and design new sales motions and strategies to reach new and existing customers.
  • Manage and grow a team of experienced business architects to drive business impact while growing these professionals in their career and learning.
  • Represent business and technical needs/feedback in key leadership forums with engineering and business leaders.
  • Ensure the right metrics and KPIs are in place to achieve the right outcomes for our customers, to measure progress over time and to implement course corrections as needed.
