Value Proposition:

This is an opportunity to join a forward-looking leadership team to help transform our systems, data and processes that will enable OMERS Capital Markets, Total Portfolio Management, and Corporate Finance functions to deliver on our pension promise. Our team is at the early stages of transformation journey, and the selected candidate will be a key member of the team that will bring project management discipline to large initiatives that we will undertake in the coming years and work with our internal partners to understand their needs and deliver outcomes, with excellence. This role joins a team on a journey, with significant future potential in a global, sophisticated, and complex enterprise.

Scope of Position:

Reporting to Senior Manager of Business Operations, Capital Markets Finance, the Senior Analyst, Business Operations will work closely with members on the team to support and deliver initiatives across Capital Markets business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for departmental project scorecard and operating metrics reporting and communicating potential risks and issues to the leadership. This individual brings energy, urgency and a compelling ‘can do’ attitude to the delivery team and our stakeholders.

We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 3+ days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly scorecard and operating metrics reporting process, facilitate meetings, and provide analytical insights on potential issues, risks and improvement opportunities with the project portfolio

  • Participate or lead delivery of projects and programs by working closely with investment professionals, platform and data teams, investment operations, technology teams and external vendors

  • Perform operational due diligence of private deals under direction of senior leaders on the team

  • Support VP and other team members on assignments as required

  • Uphold strong ethical values and high integrity

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in investment or consulting industry

  • Minimum 2 years in managing projects and is comfortable working through ambiguity

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to synthesize information and create written material

  • Experienced with process documentation and optimization

  • Effective communicator in writing and verbal with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership team

  • Good knowledge of investment life cycle process and applications

  • Experience with working with technology and data

  • Experience with private investment due diligence an asset
