Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring to provide operational and business support for Treasury Services and Foreign Exchange for Royal Bank of Canada HK, Singapore and Sydney Branch.

Working Hours: 8.30AM to 5.30PM

Region: APAC

What will you do?

  • Responsible for efficient and timely processing of all Treasury products.
  • Monitor all inward and outward SG and HK RTGS and other cash flows within strict daily timeframe.
  • Responsible for effective management and resolution of payments / receipts / trade processing discrepancies with clients or counterparties.
  • Ensure trades confirmation are matched and any non-receipts are follow-up with tracers.
  • Provide accurate funding projection, Nostro Reporting to the desk to cover all positions in the market.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are processed and updated accurately.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance to the bank rule, circulars, laid-down procedures and local requirements.
  • Provide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the department.
  • Contribute to the specification and testing of improvements for all systems and processes.
  • Ensure EOD checks are conducted daily with any outstanding issues identified and action on the same day.
  • Ensure all reports are reviewed on a timely basis and discrepancies and follow-up are monitored closely.
  • Ensure all unreconciled items and outstanding breaks are investigated and accounted for.
  • All charges pertaining to client’s payments or correspondent bank charges are accounted for and ensure entries are processed.
  • Ensure proper escalation of issues / risks to management.
  • Ensure prompt indexing of all transactions, correspondences and reports into Content Manager and no accumulation of backlog.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Prepare monthly attestation PEGA, KPI/KRI reports.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Degree in Finance & banking or Accounting.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Adherence to procedures and control processes.
  • Ability to complete ad-hoc tasks and project deliverables by deadlines and achieve performance targets set.
  • Minimal risks events.
  • Strong in PC skills.
  • Strong working knowledge in SWIFT , Real Time Payment Systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable to different work related situations.
  • Good time management abilities and able to work under high pressure
  • Ability to work shift hours (Australian morning) when required.

Nice-to-have

  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of Treasury Services and Foreign Exchange operations experience.
