What is the opportunity?

The incumbent plays a significant role in the execution and safe Custody of all activities related to all physical trade settlement operations in local & global markets for all platform client segments. The incumbent will identify and resolve reconciliation differences/problems and works with the business units to ensure corrective actions and proper procedures are in place. The incumbent will also work closely with internal groups for Physical settlement processing of relevant OTC transactions within their respective business unit platforms.

What will you do?

  • Daily settlement of term deposit receipts which includes timely confirmation with counterparts, settlement of tickets and wiring of funds, which can be in the billions of dollars
  • Executes operating procedures that ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all Risk controls that ensures the safe custody of Physical assets within the Cage (OTC) area.
  • Provides processing support on all system platforms (BaNCS, SMAC/TRUST & Milvus)
  • Achieves preset targets measuring service quality & effectiveness against appropriate benchmarks (Client SLA’s).
  • Always provides solid safekeeping of Physical Assets within your Control.
  • Jointly accountable & responsible for Safekeeping of client Physical Securities on all processing platforms.
  • Share best practices across all platforms and operating teams undertaking similar processes.
  • Manage courier packages from the mailroom.
  • Process incoming Free Receives sand deliveries of physical securities.
  • Ensure all securities and documentation are scanned.
  • Process CDS deposits and withdrawal
  • Coordinate internal and external transactions.
  • Process and follow up on outstanding Transfers/re-registrations.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC applications including Excel & Word
  • Strong working knowledge of BaNCS processing
  • Strong working knowledge of Trust and Milvus processing
  • Technical expertise in trade & settlements practices & standards
