What is the opportunity?
Market Services Operations is managed regionally and is divided across FX Operations, Cash Ops and Payment and Securities Lending. Market Services Operations has day-to-day operational teams in Canada and Malaysia. The Initiatives & Business Management position within Market Services, work alongside the day-to-day operational teams with responsibility for delivering transformational and digitization solutions and insight through (1) the provision of subject matter expertise applied to the change management portfolio of Market Services; (2) the management and support to provision best-in-class products and services; and (3) the provision of Market Service Operations business management function.
Reporting to the Director, Initiatives & Business Management role is to support the advancement of the three departmental functions generally and specifically the first of the three through providing subject matter expertise and change management leadership specifically in relation to FX Operations. The individual will be at the heart of the planning and execution of initiatives and be recognized as a partner to the regional FX Operations management and Product Head in support of the successful delivery of FX Operations strategic goals.

What will you do?
- Assist in the planning, control and evaluation of information that feed into electronic data processing systems and third party applications
- Develop process flows and requirement definitions for information systems development and any required procedural documentation
- Meet with internal clients/ departments to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
- Report the cost estimates of projects and initiatives to support the planning and controlling of expenditures of the department
- Manage portfolio of FX projects / initiatives, prioritization and resource planning.
- Drive the initiatives scope definition and detailed planning. Develop required enhancement documentation related to plan.
- Initiatives / Project execution to assist in the development of test cases and runbooks when or as required
- Track and report the status of Initiatives tracking through project management tools such as PEGA / JIRA / Confluence
- Lead and participate as an SME stakeholder to support global / regional projects which impacts FX Operations
- Maintain the product standards for each FX product that we offer ( what we do, how we do it)
Must have:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience related to Market Services and Custody
- Solid knowledge of FX Operations specifically for FWDs, SPOTS and Swaps and market practices with particular emphasis on operational processes for such transactions.
- Strong business analytical skills.
- FX subject matter expert with detailed knowledge of the FX product lifecycle, particularly pre-and post-trade stages.
- Ability to lead under pressure and deliver stellar results.
- Strong change leader with ability to influence and gain employee commitment.
- Experience interacting with senior management, vendors, and external counterparties
- Kondor Suite and FX Order Management System application knowledge
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VBA and SQL
- Strong project management skills
