WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As a Strategic Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving high impact activities to support strategic initiatives as part of WMTS and the broader I&T and T&O Strategy and Innovation team mandates. Activities include but not limited to understanding organization problems and goals, analyzing needs and solutions, devising strategies, driving change, and facilitating stakeholder collaboration. This role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability to drive critical insight by gathering, reviewing and testing data and applying a number of measures to help leadership make the right decisions, address key challenges and identify new ways to achieve or exceed goals.

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability to drive critical insight by gathering, reviewing and testing data and applying a number of measures to help leadership make the right decisions, address key challenges and identify new ways to achieve or exceed goals.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities
- Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, tracking project activities through completion while continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates
- Prepare requirements for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
- Support QA in development of the Functional System test cases, or develop and perform QA testing on behalf of testing team
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with cross-functional teams and senior leadership across departments
- Apply strong process orientation and understanding of project management and process improvement techniques, methodologies, and best practices
- Recommend strategic approach and solution as well as best course of action when requirements changes are identified by articulating the cost-benefit of the change and whether the change is contributing to the business objectives
Must have:
- Relevant college, university, or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Economics, or Statistics, or years of professional experience
- Experience in managing technically complex, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder process improvement initiatives
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship management skills to articulate the insights from findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
- Hands-on experience in analytics or management consulting
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)
- Experience with data, data visualization tools and programming
- Financial industry experience
