What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Personal & Commercial Product Analytics for the Caribbean will play a key role as part of the Personal and Commercial products team to help drive RBC’s profile and market share across the region. The role will be specifically responsible for working with the Director of Product Analytics in establishing a new product analytics team and infrastructure, capable of driving key insights and reporting to help accelerate product strategies for Retail, Commercial, and HNW clients.

What will you do?

  • Maximize the potential for revenue growth by developing, and maintaining, strategies which leverage data to drive the greatest return for the business while reducing loss to competitors.
  • Lead and support the development and advancement of foundational analytical capabilities to enable data-driven insights to be delivered to the Product team in order to maximize prospects across Personal and Commercial products.
  • Collaborate with key partners within the business, GRM, and sales, to recognize areas of opportunity and optimize Acquisition and Account Management credit strategies.
  • Create the platform to allow for insights to be continuously fed back to the product strategist, and the broader Caribbean Senior Leadership Team, on the performance of the portfolio and initiatives.
  • Strengthen portfolio insights through segmentation of the client base, and by highlighting major gaps which may exist in the portfolio to drive a greater capture of the market.
  • Work in tandem with the Data Strategy lead to develop a strong foundation for Caribbean data, and support the opportunities to allow for the acceleration of the work to establish the data quality and governance required to generate future growth for the Caribbean teams
  • Collaborate with GRM partners in enhancing credit strategies, and developing scorecards to maximize potential for faster and more accurate credit decisions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in Financial Services Industry in a credit strategy and/or analytics specific role
  • In-depth knowledge of analytics and techniques required to analyze the portfolio and develop recommendations
  • Prior experience and responsibility for development of credit strategies (Adjudication, Pre-Approval, or Account Management), and/or leveraging data to price portfolio
  • Strong background in using technical skills related to reporting, analytics, data driven insights and/decision making and modelling (use of SAS, Tableau, Excel, Python, R, Spark SQL, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively share ideas and capture the attention of your audience through different tools and tactics
  • Ability to create buy-in for your ideas, have credibility and be able to influence others
