What's the opportunity?

We’re looking for an experienced Campus Program Manager to join our team as a Manager, Innovation Programs. This individual will be responsible for managing our Early Talent portfolio of programs, including Bachelor, Masters and Graduate level Internship and Co-op programs. This role will include the cyclical project management of multiple student programs, partnering with internal teams to support enterprise initiatives and goals. This individual will represent RBC Borealis in the community at Academic and Industries conferences, as well as on-campus events. You will have the opportunity to liase with and build strong working relationships internally at RBC Borealis with our Research and Engineering teams, acting as a strategic partner to support them in building a strong early talent pipeline. Your Responsibilities:

  • Program Manager for our Graduate Level Machine Learning Researcher Internship program, including full cycle recruitment, onboarding, internship experience and offboarding;

  • Program Manager for our Bachelor’s or Masters Co-op Program, partnering with enterprise teams to recruit, assess and onboard;

  • Provide expert advice and counsel related to Campus and Early Talent acquisition to execute the on our talent strategy and support our business ambitions;

  • Represent RBC Borealis at industry and academic events to promote our brand as a destination employer for students in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence university programs;

  • Conducts industry analysis & trends to better understand target customer segments and unique recruiting opportunities;

  • Act as a coach to new and developing people managers for our student program, ensuring clear understanding of responsibilities and a positive student experience;

  • Create and maintain our Internship Alumni Program, including the communications, outreach and events strategy;

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Partnerships team to advertise and grow our brand in the academic community.

You're our ideal candidate if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Campus or Early Talent Recruitment, preferably in a technology or AI/ML focused company;

  • Project management skills, with ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners;

  • Event planning and management skills, with ability to coordinate on-campus events and conferences;

  • Ability to effectively work with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and industry professionals;

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;

  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to support early talent pipeline development;

  • Knowledge of the education and employment landscape, with understanding of trends and best practices in early talent development;

  • Collaborative mindset, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including research and engineering teams;

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with ability to navigate complex situations and stakeholders.
