Job Summary

As a Financial Analyst with Cards & Loyalty Performance Management you will work directly with the Credit Cards and Loyalty Finance teams on month-end and quarter-end reporting activities, streamlining reporting processes and working on ad-hoc basis special projects. You will also work with our partners to learn about Financial Institutions, Finance and how to provide value added financial advisory support. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an analytical mindset, and a willingness to learn about the RBC’s Retail Banking business.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Work independently on projects and work streams to identify and streamline processes in the forecasting, planning and monthly reporting processes

  • Understand, dissect and analyze credit card products profitability

  • Improve product reports by incorporating business understanding and financial insights

  • Participate in the review of new finance projects and initiatives. Engage in the review of process mapping narratives for enhanced documentation

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Pursuit of a degree in Finance or Accounting with strong financial analysis/accounting background

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and independent worker with a solutions driven mind-set

  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Excel and database software

  • Interest in the financial services industry

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge or experience in Finance and Accounting and/or Retail Banking industry and banking products
