What is the Opportunity?

As Capital markets is securing significant investment from RBC to establish RBCCM as a Best-in-Class user of frontier AI models, we are seeking additional support to ensure we:

  • build a best-in-class AI Governance framework, with well defined robust processes
  • define, assess and mitigate the risks associated with implementing cutting edge AI models, establish control environment and run the controls periodically as needed
  • are well-prepared for future regulatory scrutiny and audit for our AI Governance Framework
  • are well integrated to enterprise processes in AI Governance, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Third-Party Risk Management
  • represent RBC Capital Markets to other Line of Businesses to share the best practice AI Governance process

Job Description

What will you do?

  • You will have an opportunity to fully automate and integrate controls into Superdash, necessitating significant effort in implementation, design, and documentation.
  • You will be involved in the intake process, including managing the pipeline, ensuring comprehensive information collection, and coordinating with stakeholders from Privacy, Cybersecurity, and IT Risk and other risk categories
  • As part of the AI Governance Team, you will need to assess new risks that fall outside of the domains (e.g. LLM Risk monitoring)
  • You will be responsible to develop framework documents, policies, and procedures for the control environment
  • Gain exposure to senior leaders by preparation and maintenance of AI Governance committee decks and meeting minutes
  • Manage documentation and all artifacts in preparation for future audits/regulatory exams

What you need to succeed?

  • The ideal candidate will possess over three years of professional experience in the Banking or Capital Markets sectors, specifically within Compliance, Risk, or Controls functions.
  • The applicant must also have a proven track record of drafting comprehensive procedures, policies, and framework documentation.
  • A strong preference will be given to applicants who have obtained an AI Governance Professional Designation.
  • The candidate should be well-versed in the latest AI regulatory landscapes, such as the EU AI Act, Canada's AIDA, and various US state regulations.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge AI models, including Large Language Models, Chain of Thought reasoning, and Agentic Frameworks, is required.
