WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As a Sr. Manager you will be responsible to lead a team of Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex initiatives. Provide coaching and support to Business Analysts in the areas of requirements planning, analysis and documentation, requirements management and support. Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Responsible for managing team members and vendor coordination, driving alignment with RBC practices and efficient usage.
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and other stakeholders from Business, IT, vendors, etc.
Execute Performance Management processes, including ensuring development plans & performance reviews are in place.
Ensures team has adequate training, consulting, and tools to deliver objectives.
Supports senior management in the development of workforce skill sets to meet transformation needs and achieve strategic goals.
Requirements Management and Consulting, to ensure quality of the requirement deliverables and requirements estimates produced by the team.
Resolve requirements conflicts and issues between projects as escalated by the team.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must Have:
7+ Years of Business Analysis experience in Insurance or Financial industry with 3 to 5 years of people management experience
Experience working with Agile Methodology with leadership capabilities and Strong knowledge of these frameworks, and best practices.
Ability to guide other stakeholders in their roles, identification of scope creep, enforcement of change management processes while maintaining strong relationships.
Experience working to with tools like Jira & Confluence.
Experience leading all facets of requirements analysis, including support for test optimization and automation.
Strong communication skills. Ability to focus, prioritize and solve complex problems.
Nice to Have:
Experience working as a BA, in various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile.
Advanced knowledge and proven experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation.
Advanced knowledge and proven experience with requirements elicitation techniques such as Interviews, facilitated workshops, Focus groups, Surveys.
Experience with Insurance industry data/systems.
Experience in vendor management.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related (technical) degree/diploma
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute – Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification
