What is the opportunity?

The Group Risk Management (GRM) Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk (BSLR) team performs the second line of defense role for all balance sheet and liquidity risks at the enterprise level. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Governance Manager to ensure effective project governance and improve operational efficiency across the team.

What will you do?

  • Act as a project manager to coordinate and streamline project planning and execution of various regulatory initiatives.
  • Develop detailed project plan to identify key deliverables and task interdependencies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and effective completion of regulatory commitments.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and develop mitigation strategies or escalation path to ensure successful project execution.
  • Standardize the documentation, tracking and reporting of projects and findings using the internal model inventory management system.
  • Prepare status updates and finding summary reports for senior risk committees and other stakeholders to ensure they are well informed and aligned on project progress and near-term deliverables.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for governance-related initiatives.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement best practices to enhance project management and operating model.
  • Ensure consistency of standards, processes, and finding management for BSLR models and non-models across the enterprise, and adherence to relevant enterprise policies and regulatory requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree in project management, business, or financial discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in risk governance, project management, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to summarize complex information concisely.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project life cycle, risk management, and ability to understand policies and guidance.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with regulatory projects, model inventory systems, or governance frameworks.
  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision-makers
  • Relevant professional designations (PMP, CAPM, ACP or equivalent)
