What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Product Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting the analytics and data needs of the Personal Lending Product team. This includes providing actionable insights, data-driven product strategy, and recommendations to senior leadership to drive growth and profitability.

What will you do?

  • Support the analytics needs of the PL (Personal Lending) business, including developing a deeper understanding of segment economics and customer behaviour, support for business cases, deep dives on new product innovation and special projects

  • Manage the PL data infrastructure and deliver concise, timely and insightful reporting to senior management on relevant matters relating to the business including acquisition, retention, growth, engagement, and market share.

  • Forecast modeling of application volumes, booking rates and other key metrics by product and channel to support Personal Lending senior management and other stakeholder groups including OMNI, Credit Adjudication, Operations and Finance

  • Work closely with partner groups to provide analytics and required reports for critical initiatives (strategy, execution, performance monitoring and refinement) for all PL products

  • Provide ad hoc analysis with actionable insights to enable strategic, fact-based discussions and facilitate better decision-making within PL

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 3+ years related work experience in analytics and financial modelling

  • Programming experience to extract data and complete complex analytics. SAS / SQL required. R, Python, etc. preferred

  • Experience developing reporting and dashboards using Tableau or similar software

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency for critical thinking and strategic analysis

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, leveraging data and insights to tell a story

  • Excellent collaboration skills to build and cultivate strong working partnerships with business partners and other stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Degree in a quantitative field is preferred but not required (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)

  • Previous experience in credit risk including risk modeling and credit strategy development

  • Knowledge and experience developing statistical models including linear & logistic regression, survival models, decision trees, neural nets, cluster analysis, etc. and applying their output in practical strategies

  • Data strategy experience, data pipeline automation
