What is the opportunity?

This role will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the provision of comprehensive, accurate and timely reporting that supports formal reporting on the overall status of Compliance and the Global Chief Compliance Officer Opinion. Includes formal reporting to Global Compliance Executives and RBC’s Board of Directors. Coordination of Compliance Management Information (MI) Reporting for internal Compliance stakeholders, segment and functional Operating Committees and the quarterly Enterprise CCO Opinion Report.

Active in promoting global reporting best practices relating to common program elements.

What will you do?

  • Reporting, Management Information (“MI”) & Analytics – Assist with the execution of and preparation of compliance reporting and dashboards, summarize findings and provide preliminary data analysis and commentary. Support global CCO Opinion reporting including data preparation and review. Provide support to regional stakeholders on the reporting methodology. Support the reporting processes for segment and functions operating committees. Support the development of strategic reporting templates.
  • Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Governance – Support the ongoing metrics and reporting of Compliance program effectiveness via KPI reporting, RCM governance reporting and the annual Self-Assessment. Support the development of strategic reporting templates.
  • Key Risk Indicators and Data Aggregation – Support the production of standard analytics across program elements to identify patterns, trends and emerging risks. Ensure a consistent approach in data aggregation to support a “report once, use many” approach across RBC’s regions.
  • Reporting Program Support – Works in conjunction with the Associate Director, Compliance Data Analytics, Reporting & Innovation to structure the overall design and implementation of the regional reporting program in Canada, while managing and promoting global best practices. Contribute towards the continual enhancement of the global Compliance reporting program, promoting global best practices and supporting the consistent use of the approved reporting methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Expert PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong capabilities working with Data, and the ability to distill large data sets into effective visual presentations for senior audiences.
  • Compliance or risk experience supporting a large banking institution
  • Generalist across multiple compliance subject areas
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices relating to Compliance
  • Experience and ability to deal with senior executives
