What is the opportunity?
As Associate Director, Liquidity Data Analytics, you will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and databases, developing analytical tools, liquidity risk measurement oversight, and communicating key risk metrics o senior management.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and maintenance of data pipelines and liquidity risk databases
- Collaborate with business teams and data analysts to gather and understand requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data needs
- Recommend and design scalable, efficient, and effective data architectures and workflows to support current and future business requirements
- Development of analytical tools to enhance liquidity risk management including stress testing tools
- Liquidity measurement oversight covering key external and internal liquidity metrics
- Prepare insightful analysis and commentary focusing on drivers of material changes in risk positions
- Monitor activities and exposures to ensure adherence to approved policies and limits
- Brief senior management on emerging risks and market/regulatory developments that impact liquidity and funding.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Broad exposure to market risk (specifically liquidity risk) within the financial space
Proven experience as a data engineer - Proficient in Python and SQL programming languages
Experience with data modelling
Strong presentation skills including Microsoft PowerPoint
Demonstrable experience of communicating complex data and concepts to audiences of varying levels, including senior stakeholders
Understanding of a bank’s businesses and balance sheet structure
Nice-to-have
- CFA designation is beneficial.
